School Calendar Dates for the Academic Year 2026-2027
Having grown up with a father who was a vicar, faith and the Church have always been an important part of my life. Attending church has helped to develop my personal interest in religion and my appreciation of the role faith can play in shaping our values, guiding our choices and bringing communities together.
As RE Lead, I am passionate about ensuring that Religious Education is an inspiring, inclusive and meaningful subject for all children. I believe RE provides pupils with valuable opportunities to explore Christianity and other world faiths and worldviews, ask thoughtful questions, develop their own beliefs and learn to respect the beliefs and perspectives of others. Through high-quality RE teaching, I want children to develop curiosity, compassion and a deeper understanding of the diverse world in which we live.
At Stourview, I am committed to ensuring that our Christian vision and ethos are at the heart of our RE curriculum and wider school life. Our school values of wisdom, acceptance, service and nurture underpin the way we learn, care for one another and contribute to our community. I believe RE plays a vital role in helping children develop strong moral values, empathy, respect and a sense of responsibility, enabling them to grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals who make a positive difference to the world around them.
