Our Vision
At Stourview Church of England Primary Academy, we are dedicated to providing a holistic education that embodies the Church of England’s vision of “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). We strive to nurture each pupil’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical development, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where they can thrive.
Inspired by our school location near the River Stour and the imagery of life-giving water in the Bible, our learning environment encourages growth, sparks curiosity, and nurtures a lifelong love for learning.
Drawing on the idea of living waters flowing from within, as described in John 7:38, we believe that as our pupils learn and grow, they will be filled with the 'living waters' of Service, Wisdom, Acceptance and Nurture. These waters will nourish them and flow from them to benefit others, so that they may experience 'Life in all its fullness'.
To achieve this vision, we uphold values that are central to our community. These values guide our actions and shape the way we support one another:
S - Service: We help others and show kindness, just as Jesus taught us. Together, we work to make our community a better place.
W - Wisdom: We value the pursuit of knowledge and understanding and know that true wisdom comes from thoughtful reflection and experience. We remain curious, seeking knowledge not just in school subjects, but in our hearts. We strive to make choices that reflect our school values.
A - Acceptance: We are a welcoming and inclusive school where everyone is valued for who they are. Respecting and supporting each other, we form a strong, inclusive family at school.
N - Nurture: We value the growth and development of each individual, encouraging everyone to reach their full potential. Like water helps things grow, we nurture each other’s strengths and qualities, encouraging everyone to do their best and learn together.
